Gordon Cobb studied music at the School for the Contemporary Arts at
Simon Fraser University and the London College of Music and Media in
England, graduating with distinction from the Masters of Music program
in Composition for New Media.
Gordon’s work has been performed
recently with the New York City Ballet, Cedar Lake Ensemble in NYC,
Emily Molnar Dance’s “SubSilence”, and MovEnt’s “SURGE”. He has
recently worked as a sound mixer for a number of films including
Florence Debeugny’s “Almost Gone”, “Mongolian Eagle” for Red Wolf Films, “Blossom” for
Artsy Fartsy Pictures, and “Traces of (e)Motion” for Blur
Productions. His work was also featured recently in the 2006
winter Olympics with ice skater Emanuel Sandhu’s free skate
program.
Gordon has been a registered teacher with the
Royal Conservatory for ten years, and is the curriculum creator and
primary piano instructor for the Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach in East
Vancouver (www.smmo.com). He is also the artistic director of a production company for youth called The Biz
(web.mac.com/cobbhousestudio).
